1405 | The duchess Aleksandra (sister of King Władysław Jagiełło and wife of Ziemowit IV of Płock) finances the hospital of the Holy Trinity. |
1435 | Władysław I, the duke of Mazovia, gives to Płock the full Chelmno law. |
1495 | After childless death of the last duke of Płock Janusz II, Płock along with the whole Mazovia is incorporated into the Polish Crown. |
3 May 1498 | King Jan Olbracht grants to the town the privilege under which Municipal Office builds in Płock first water pipes. |
1526 | During the greatest epidemic dies about. 1100 people (30% of population). |
1545 | Great fire destroys entire streets: Dobrzyńska, Piekarska and Nadwiślańska. |
1 August 1558 | Płock receives from King Zygmunt August II the privilege to choose freely the mayor and the commune head. |
1657 | Swedish troops under the command of King Carl Gustav plunder completely Płock, destroying the castle, middle - class houses and the hospital. |
1731 | As a result of erosion of the Płock river bank to the Vistula almost the entire Nadwiślańska street with , among others, a part of the parish church subsides. |
1803 | As a result of executing the Schmid's plan the Prussian authorities start to develop Płock between the newly set streets: from Tumska to Kilińskiego street. |
23 September 1831 | In the Płock Town Hall, the last session of insurrectionary sejm of the Kingdom of Poland is held. |
15 May 1863 | Next to the barracks yard behind Rogatki Płońskie the insurrectionary head of Płock province - General Zygmunt Padlewski - was executed. |

10 April 1921 | Marshal Józef Piłsudski grants to Płock the Cross of Valour for heroic defence during the Polish - Bolshevik War in August 1920. |
1923 | Radziwie - currently the left-bank part of the town - is incorporated into Płock. |
1937- 1938 | A permanent road - rail bridge was built on the Vistula River. |
March 1941 | Divisions SS displace (by moving to extermination camps) the whole Jewish population of Płock being at that time one fourth of the inhabitants of the town. |
5 January 1959 | The resolution of the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers on locating a refinery and petrochemical factory in Płock. |
1975 - 1998 | Płock becomes the capital of the province. |
7 -8 June 1991. | Pope John Paul II comes to Płock on his pilgrimage. |
1 January 1997 | New areas are annexed to the town, its surface increases to 8806 ha. |
1999 | As a result of a merger between Petrochemia Płock S.A. and CPN Polish Oil System is created. |
30 April 2000. | Pope John Paul II declares sister Faustyna Kowalska a saint, who on 22 February 1931r had in Płock first revelation of Jesus the Merciful. |
